How to Choose the Mascara

The market offers a huge range of mascara, each with specific properties. Curved brushes curled eyelashes longer, combs separate lashes and perfectly defined and new formulas to help your eyelashes to defy gravity. But what is the best for you? Not always a mascara that looks good on your friend is right for you: it all depends on your eyelashes.
  • Lengthening: This formula deposited thin fibers of celluloid on the ends of the lashes, which remains fixed mascara. Adds millimeters more. The fibers can irritate the eyes, especially if you use contact lenses. Ideal for short lashes that require a subtle but effective lengthening.
  • Volumizing: Tiny particles of silicone swell the lashes one by one, the brush stretches rich dense layer of product. Causes long eyelashes and thin seem large and thick. This formula tends to form lumps and melt. Ideal for sparse eyelashes or purposes that require more volume.
  • Curling: A special curved brush that curls the lashes upward. The formula contains special polymers that encourage the curl. Can "expand" the eyes effectively. It does not replace a good eyelash curler. Ideal for straight eyelashes that require ultra-feminine curve.
  • Defining: A brush or comb with teeth spaced separate the lashes. Helps define lashes. It can be difficult to use on the lower lashes. Ideal for large and thick eyelashes, with a tendency to compact.
  • Water Resistant: This formula is designed to cover each eyelash with a water-impermeable layer then does not dissolve in contact with water. It is not easy to remove with normal cleansing products. Ideal for sporty girls who wear lashes mascara in the pool or in the gym.
  • Base: This formula provides a nutrient base of which is then rolled out the mascara. It nourishes, extends and adds volume to the lashes. Can have an effect too thick and sticky. Ideal for lashes that you want to give a greater length, extra volume and longevity.
  • Colored: This formula covers lashes with a touch of color. Create a fun look, perfect for the party. Not all the colors you will be fine: choose the one that suits your style.
To get long and thick eyelashes, look for the label:
Beeswax: It's the wax that bees produce to reinforce the walls of the hive and is used in mascara to give depth to the lashes.
Lecithin: It's a natural moisturizer that prevents the lashes from drying out and becoming brittle.
Sorbitol: It is extracted from plants and is used in mascara for its emollient properties.
