Yoga


Any woman can do yoga is the best way to tone your muscles, relax the body, calm the mind and eliminate stress. Despite having originated in India about 5000 years ago, is considered the perfect discipline to solve the problems of modern man, such as overwork and lack of fitness. Once you have chosen the type of yoga you prefer, one lesson a week and a few minutes of practice a day can improve your fitness and make you feel more relaxed. In addition, yoga can boost energy levels, increase muscle strength and help you sleep better. Various studies show that it can also help you lose weight, as well as to reduce the levels of sugar and cholesterol in the blood, increase flexibility, help eliminate stiffness and soothe the pains of back, neck and shoulders. Increases blood flow, stimulates internal organs and improves digestion, increases concentration and reduces tension.
In yoga you make a number of positions, called asanas, as well as breathing exercises and relaxation. When you make these movements, always remember to breathe deeply through your nose. It's important to follow your own rhythm, without effort, so as not to feel pain the next day. If a movement causes you pain, do not. You never feel tension: just do what you can.

There are different types of yoga, some more relaxing and other more dynamic.
Hatha Yoga is based on positions of slow stretching and breathing methods. Lessons include the relaxation of the body. Recommended if you are a beginner and want a gentle approach.
Ashtanga or Power Yoga is fast and athletic, you jump between positions instead of moving smoothly from one to the other. At the end you find yourself hot and sweaty. Recommended if you have a good shape and you are familiar with the most common positions of yoga.

Iyengar Yoga: remain as long as the positions and you can use support elements such as belts and pillows. Recommended if you have suffered injuries or have problems with joints and back, talk to the instructor.
Sivananda Yoga: This type of yoga is based on relaxation and positive thinking. Consists of 12 basic postures, meditation and breathing methods. Good if you are stressed or want to exercise and relax at the same time.
Bikram Yoga: consists of a series of 26 positions. The exercises take place in an environment with high temperature (the theory is that it will help to eliminate toxins). Drink plenty of water. Recommended if you are trained and like to sweat.
Holidays with Yoga: is a package holiday with daily classes of yoga. Usually is also free time for sightseeing and excursions. Many of these programs are held in beautiful places in the country, by the sea or in the mountains. Recommended if you've already done yoga and you need a relaxing holiday.

You do not need anything special to do yoga: just bare feet and comfortable clothing, at most a yoga mat. drink water during and after class.
